I needed somewhere to stay because a wildfire was affecting the area where my home is. A kind reservation specialist heard what was going on, contacted the hotel, and told me I could check in at 12:00. When I arrived around 1:00, the man at the desk said check-in wasn’t until 3:00. He called someone after I explained my situation and let me in, but had an attitude. The staff weren’t exactly rude, just rather condescending. The room was fine, but the sheer curtains wouldn’t close all the way and there were no blackout shades. City lights and billboards shone in, so I used hair ties to keep the curtains closed. Wind noise made it feel like a window was open, even though it was plate glass. Maybe it needs to be chalked. The towels were in poor condition and unraveling, and surgical gloves were covering the hallway cameras, which was a little scary. We didn’t get a good night’s rest. For the price, I expected better quality. Picture is at 3:00 AM.

This hotel felt neglected from top to bottom, more like a truck stop motel than an actual IHG property. The pictures on the website should be sued for false advertising. Our room was disgusting: mirrors and TV smeared, holes in the curtain, yellow marks on the sheets and pillows, stained comforter, and crumbs and stains on the chairs. The shower ceiling looked like it might cave in. The whole place looked filthy, and even the hallway light fixtures were broken. Then they charge extra for breakfast, which was terrible. Don’t do it, and stay away from this location. I took pictures as proof but couldn’t get them to post.

Dantae deserves recognition for his customer service. He was the only front desk person on Friday knight when a thunderstorm rolled through and people were leaving the interstate to find rooms. About 20 new guests arrived at once, most without reservations, and he worked through every one of them. He accommodated everyone with a smile and treated each person like they were the most important guest of the evening. Service like that makes an impression and keeps people coming back. It’s an older IHG property, but it has an onsite restaurant.

The beds were so comfortable, and the pillows were too. The sheets felt soft, and we had a great stay. Dante welcomed us at check-in and was such a happy, knowledgeable, downright great person. Checkout was simple, and the manager, Liz?, was sweet and thanked us for using IHG. First impressions make a difference!

The people working here are AWESOME, but at this price I don’t get why guests have to pay for breakfast. There’s a Keurig for coffee, but only if you bring your own, and tea is the only option otherwise. For a “full” service hotel, please explain. The rooms are aged, with scratched paint all over. The rolling chair looks like it could fall apart, and while the beds were clean, they’re so high that short people need a running jump. Parking is a mess: heavy equipment takes up 4-8 spaces, the asphalt is missing in chunks, and the spaces aren’t marked at all. It’s a free-for-all, plus there’s the meteor impact site. The workout room needs help too, with broken equipment. Out of all the IHG properties I’ve stayed at, this one is the one where you should make sure your medical records are up to date. You could mix drinks in the elevator. I’d only suggest this place as a last ditch effort.
