Beachside Motel

We booked through booking.com and had a really bad experience with the woman at the counter. She was rude and said it takes 12 hours, so our room wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow because they’re in India. That sounded racist right from the start, and she offered no solution. Twelve hours would have meant 11 that night. They weren’t replying to our messages either. We’d already handed over our $130, and my wife and I were left facing a cold night in the car. Update: booking dot com got in touch with the hotel, and we got our money refunded. Still, the hotel should come off booking.com if they don’t want to work with third-party apps. Booking through an app to stay there could be a real problem. My wife and I found another hotel just around the corner on booking.com and had no issue. I think the front desk lady was just an entitled, grumpy older woman.

They treated us very well and did their best to accommodate our early arrival. While we waited for a room, they recommended a nice breakfast place. The room was comfortable, and the location was great. We’d definitely consider staying again.

It’s a little hotel right on the ocean, with a path that leads straight down to the beach. My room had a great view, and I could walk to the beach from there. There’s also a nice restaurant and bar across the street. Some rooms have a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, stove, and dining table. The hotel is centrally located in a very safe area, and the front desk staff were super friendly, especially Lisa. She was so sweet.

Check-in and checkout were very easy, and the two women at the front desk were lovely. The motel is in a perfect location, and my room faced the water. It wasn’t dirty, but everything, including the beds, smelled damp, as if the room hadn’t been opened in a while.
