The woman at the front desk did a great job and let us into our rooms early. Breakfast was good, and the man working there kept the food stocked and the tables clean. Our king room had a nice ocean view, and it was very quiet. The rooms were cool and clean, though a little worn, with scratches and some paint missing. WiFi was spotty, sometimes didn’t work, and was slow when it did. For the price, that was acceptable. The hotel is a block from the beach and rents chairs and umbrellas. Fort Clinch is next door, and town is about a five-minute drive away. I’d stay again and recommend it.

We booked a block of rooms for our wedding night, with many guests traveling a long way, and the arrangements were confusing from the start. They kept changing which types of rooms we’d get. We were told guests had no deadline to book, but later, when people weren’t assigned to our block, the hotel said the date had passed. Then, on our wedding night, they gave our room to a walk-in. The front desk girl was very nice, and it was her first week. When she called her manager, Juan, he said he’d tried calling my wife several times. She had no missed calls or voicemails from him or anyone at the hotel about a card issue. Most places don’t charge until check-in, and if there’s a problem, they call. We had to drive home instead of staying, and missed the breakfast with our out-of-town guests that we’d planned. This place is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here, especially for a wedding.
Richard at the Hotel went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after, and he deserves all the praise. We were impressed with the service and the location from the time we arrived until checkout. The beach and yummy food are both within walking distance. We stopped in for one night and absolutely recommend booking here for a stay in beautiful Fernandina Beach. 😁
11/30/25 The breakfast needs a complete refresh, from the food quality to the equipment. The toaster only heats one side, the pancakes are a joke, and the rest of the food, including the coffee, isn’t good. Parking in their own lot costs $12 plus tax per night. Our room door wouldn’t lock when closed, and we waited hours for maintenance. Their fix was to remove the lock plate. The shower head is pictured in room 313. The tub also wouldn’t fill because the item is stuck and won’t go down.
The room was clean, but it had a slight smell. The front desk came across as dry and careless. I was charged for two days of parking even though the website, Apple Maps, clearly says free self parking. I’ll most likely pay extra next time to stay somewhere better.
