La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Harrisburg Airport Hershey

The room was okay and clean, and the cleaning staff were very nice. The front desk manager, who also handled breakfast, was awful. On weekdays breakfast closed just before 9 a.m., and when I asked for more eggs because the ones out were stuck to the pan and burnt, he refused. On vacation, we don't want to get up early just to eat. We were also charged extra to check in early, even though nobody else was staying there because it was Christmas. We had booked two rooms for ten days, and the same manager wouldn't allow it. Not a smart business decision. We won't be back.

Booking was easy, the price was great value, and checking in and out online was simple. The room was clean and smelled fresh, with clean linens. Staff were friendly, the service was great, and breakfast was good too. Thanks for a great stay.

The hotel itself was okay, but I wouldn't stay again because of the customer service. Nick, the manager or whoever he is, and Sam at the front desk were extremely unprofessional. They don't seem equipped to run a hotel, let alone work the front desk. Nick promised me a refund, then I was told they didn't accept cash deposits. They waited two weeks to tell me that, after my guys had already checked in for a business trip. I did get the refund eventually, but it took four or five calls to reach Nick, and his story changed several times. If this is your last resort, stay there, but there are other places nearby that are much better and friendlier.

We came from the Pittsburgh area for Hershey Park's Dark Nights Halloween event, and the La Quinta Inn & Suites was about a 20-minute drive away. The hotel was neat and clean, and seemed to have been renovated recently. Staff were friendly, the price was reasonable, and the included breakfast bar was standard. Our room had plenty of outlets and USB ports, the shower was clean with good water pressure, and the beds were pretty comfortable. We had no issues and would stay again when we're in the area.
