A quiet stroll around the antebellum neighborhood, if the weather cooperates, is a lovely way to round out a visit. We also had a peaceful dinner at Rosemary and Thyme in the historic Windsor Hotel, which made for the anniversary getaway we needed. More than 20 years ago, Kim and Susan impressed us with how well they pamper their guests, and they still do. This is a traditional B&B where the hosts live on site, so they take time to learn what you need, explain what to expect in their home, and see whether they can meet those expectations. They went beyond them for us. We felt relaxed and at home. Susan’s snacks, coffee, tea, and breakfasts were hard to describe, and even worked for allergen-sensitive needs. It felt like being pampered by experienced hosts, not pandered to.
