Quality Inn Americus Area

Sam at the Quality Inn in Americus made check-in easy and pleasant. He was welcoming, helpful, and professional, and it was clear he takes pride in looking after guests. The hotel looked clean, inviting, and well kept. I haven't seen the room yet, but based on what I've experienced so far, I'm confident it'll be great. Big thanks to Sam. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We've stayed here for over five years because we travel with hunting dogs and can back the truck right up to the room door to keep them close. Price isn't the reason we come. But the place has gone steadily downhill, and we'll be finding somewhere else. The room smelled, there was black mold in the shower and tub, and the rest of the property was run down even though the sheets and towels were clean. The chair arms were threadbare. Don't expect any quality here.

Charles, the night manager, was awesome and great to talk with. I came here to write a book and start a blog, and the place gave me plenty of quiet time. It seems pet friendly, too, though The Windsor Hotel definitely isn't. This is a basic place to sleep and head out for the day. The rooms have a chair, luggage bench, and desk, but the coffee maker was shorted out. Beds were okay and sheets clean. The bean-shaped pool was too cold to enjoy. It's a step up from the Days Inn across town for property care and cleanliness, though that place has a Ruby Tuesdays in the lot that's hard to beat for a quick meal and drink. The stay was clean and reasonably priced, with no frills. Don't count on watching Netflix on the TVs. The listed options include Paramount Plus, Netflix, and DirectTV OnDemand, but none of those apps worked in any room. There were about 12 mediocre channels. I'd pay even $10 more to watch the football games that mattered that weekend. WiFi was spotty at the room ends of the building and lagged badly at busy times, and only basic free bandwidth was offered. It seemed like a safe area. Local authorities and GHP were often gathered in a small used car lot just to the left of the property, while a regional medical helicopter pad on the right made a special kind of noise. Guests seemed to include industrial tradesmen working for telecom companies during the week. There are lots of family friendly activities within a 15 minute drive in nearly any direction. It was interesting to learn about South West Georgia's historical significance, but for a more memorable stay nearer to finer dining and entertainment after the museums and parks close, consider The Windsor Hotel downtown. You can walk to the Waffle House on 19, a truck stop gas station chain called Three Squares, and another truck stop McDonald's, with reasonably consistent service for McDonald's. Nightlife is too far to walk, and Uber and Lyft apps are unreliable around here. Don't drink and drive. If you're coming from downtown after 11pm with a smile on your face, a DUI would be assured. The authorities are out in numbers, especially when there are only a handful of cars on the road.

The nearby restaurant's customer service was good, and so was the service at the hotel. I had a very good stay this past week, and the room was good.
