The TV situation was still a mess when I came back in February 2026. Some rooms were missing one of the TVs shown in the booking pictures, and others had TVs that didn’t work. Staff couldn’t tell me which rooms had the problem. I switched rooms four times, then gave up and made do even though it still wasn’t right. After a long day, relaxing with the TV shouldn’t mean wrestling with the hotel Wi-Fi, signing into my own provider, and hoping casting works. I’d first stayed there that weekend in October 2025, when the building had been struck by lightning. It knocked out a lot of TVs, cable boxes, and the fire alarm system. Nobody told me before I arrived, or even when I got there. If I’d known there were no working fire alarms, I would have booked somewhere else for safety. Coming back months later to find TVs still out makes me wonder where the room inventory and quality checks are, and who’s inspecting the rooms.

I’m a platinum elite member and have stayed in plenty of hotels, but I’ll be taking my loyalty elsewhere. A rat ran through the kitchen, and the room smelled like sewer. The showers were rough, and the front desk staff acted very unprofessionally. The rat meant I had to change rooms the day before checkout, moving all my things several times. The front desk said the general manager had promised a room credit, but there was no credit when I checked out, and the GM wasn’t there. Nobody from management has contacted me since. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The second breakfast was a real letdown. My toddler first picked a bagel, but he ate fruit instead, so we took the bagel along when we checked out. Later that day he asked for it, and we found mold on it. Serving stale, moldy food to guests is unacceptable. If we hadn’t noticed, it could have made him seriously ill. We were there September 11th to 13th and had breakfast both mornings. The first day was great, with a fresh, delicious omelette. We skipped the bread then.

The room had plenty of space and was clean, but the refrigerator was so loud it kept me from sleeping. It sounded like an electric lawn mower. The living room TV also seemed to be broken, with a picture put in its place. They charged me twice for the room. I wouldn’t have been upset if they’d just called to explain, but instead they tried to fix it without telling me.

The hotel is really nice and well maintained, and everyone on staff was kind. When I ran into an issue, management listened, treated me with a lot of understanding, and sorted it out right away. They’re professional and courteous. I can’t recommend the place enough.
