The worst part was that my wife was bitten by bugs in the bed and developed an eye infection after using the pillow. The gym and shared areas were dirty and outdated, and the artificial air freshener smell throughout the hotel was overwhelming, like it was covering something up. We were charged twice for our booking, which was frustrating. Front desk staff couldn't answer basic questions about the Choice Hotels rewards program, even though a large sign encouraged guests to ask about it. The cocktail lounge was closed on Tuesday night, but nothing in the hotel materials mentioned its limited schedule. Parking information was misleading too: they weren't upfront about the fees or the separate LAZ Parking charges. We choose hotels based on parking, and this felt deceptive. Our stay at Clarion Hotel was bad from beginning to end. We would not stay again or recommend it.

Getting to the Toy story bus took almost no time, and the pre security line was fabulous. Staff were very friendly and even upgraded us for our anniversary. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and our room was spacious, though it could use a little updating. I was excited that the pool was heated, but it felt like cold bath water, and there was no hot tub. Maybe that's less of an issue in summer. Room service was really good. There wasn't a free grab-and-go breakfast for park days, which was a bit of a bummer. We didn't try the breakfast buffet. We usually stay right across from Disneyland with the kids, but wanted something different for our anniversary. I'd absolutely stay here again with just my spouse. With the whole family, maybe.

We felt safe and comfortable the whole time, and the value was great. The rooms were clean, and the staff were very friendly. It was a quick walk to the Toy Story parking lot to catch the park shuttle, or we could take an affordable Uber. The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays. We'll definitely be back.

We came for a cheer competition for our daughter and niece, but my disability kept me from making the initial drive with the family. I asked whether another car could park under the existing reservation, and the front desk wouldn't make any exception and was rude about everything. Instead of staying with my family that night, I had to get someone to bring me in the morning for the event. The dinner staff at the hotel's restaurant were just as rude as the front desk. I know hundreds of people come and go through these hotels every day, but that doesn't make it okay for every staff member to be a jerk. This was one of my worst experiences dealing with Choice hotels.

We keep coming back to the Clarion. It's so easy to walk to the Toy Story Parking lot, go through security in the morning, and take the bus to the parks. The rooms are clean and nice, and the beds are comfortable. Staff are lovely and quick to respond to questions or anything we need.
