Courtyard Anaheim Resort/Convention Center

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a layout that worked well for our family of five. We chose a suite with bunk beds. Housekeeping was great, and the hotel was clean. But for a mediocre stay, with so many other places nearby, I won’t come back. Free parking for guests, or at least Bonvoy members, could give the hotel a reason to stand out. We were there for Disneyland. It’s about 1.2 miles from the entrance, farther back than many Harbor Blvd hotels, almost in Garden Grove. We walked there and took an Uber back each evening. The walls were thin: people upstairs stomped around, and the neighbors blasted music. I prefer a top-floor room, but we got the third floor. The sauna was a little cool but still enjoyable. The elevator was slow, then broke as we were taking our luggage to the car, though someone was working on it. The front desk was frustrating. When I called, I was put on hold without even a greeting, and a promised return call never came. At check-in, I was asked how many bottles of water we wanted. I said there were five of us, but the staff member offered two and said I could buy the rest. At checkout, nobody acknowledged me while I waited for them to finish their side conversation. Not even a quick “we’ll be right with you.” Parking was $35 a night, and no one at the desk had told me the price, so I only found out at checkout. I was also disappointed there was no free breakfast.

We stayed at Courtyard Anaheim Resort for our Disneyland visit. It’s in a very convenient spot for getting to the parks, and we could walk back and forth easily. Our room was impressively spacious and clean, and the bathroom was large too. We were very happy with it and would recommend the hotel.

After a six-hour drive, Jeff and Mathew in the lobby made our arrival special when they found out it was my youngest daughter’s birthday. They gave both girls balloons, let them choose any candy from the hotel market, offered free Mickey waffles for breakfast, and put together a little bag with coloring pages and other goodies. In the morning, Donna made breakfast at the bistro quick, fun, and easy, just what we needed before the park. We’d come with my girls because the hotel is close to Disney’s Toy Story parking lot. The night before our reservation I tried using my room upgrade coupons, though I’d messed up the timing. They were returned because no upgrade was available, as expected, but Travis had upgraded our room anyway by the time we arrived. That was really nice. The staff went out of their way to make the stay feel exceptional. 10/10, we’ll stay here whenever we visit Disneyland.

The staff at the Marriott were amazing, from the front desk to the cleaning team. They shared helpful tips for the day, and anything we needed was just a phone call away. Taking a break from the heat at the water park was an easy choice. We were there last week with three adults and three kids, mainly to visit Disneyland, with a Halloween night at Universal Horror Night too. The location is amazing, about a 10-minute walk from the street entrance to security. Bravo Zulu to the staff.
