Days Inn by Wyndham Anaheim Near the Park

The front desk was accommodating when I asked for a ground-floor room because I had small children with me. The rooms were clean and spacious, with every amenity except an iron. Breakfast was mostly muffins, danishes, and coffee, so if that's your thing you'll be happy, but it needs fresh fruit and some protein or yogurt instead of so much sugar. The pool and Jacuzzi were closed. Either fresh fruit at breakfast or an open pool and Jacuzzi would have made this five stars.

The front desk was very accommodating, and we found the rooms and beds comfortable. The area near the pool gets loud from street traffic. Our main issue was the wood-paneled floor, which seemed not to be mopped daily. Our feet got dirty as soon as we walked on it, so bring slippers. The vending machine had nothing in it. Maybe remove it if the third-party vendor isn't restocking it.

We spent about 30 minutes in the room ordering Uber Eats after a late night at Disney. When we came out to meet the driver, the elevator was crawling with roaches. We left immediately and booked somewhere else for the night. The room photos don't look like this property, and I felt the location was misrepresented. It was in a rough part of Anaheim and nowhere near the park. I'd booked for one night on September 14 before a five-day Carnival cruise. At the front desk, a man named Badge told me he wouldn't refund my money. I contacted Bookin.com, where I'd booked, but got no resolution. I also emailed General Manager Tony Li and got no response. The place was filthy and infested with cockroaches.

The staff made us feel so welcome. They gave my husband routes to explore the state on his motorcycle and even provided a hose so we could wash the bike. The room was cleaned daily, and having a fridge and microwave helped us make food and save money. Great value, and we'll definitely come back.
