Fairfield Inn by Marriott Anaheim Hills Orange County

We slept well on the comfortable bed in a spacious, quiet, well-equipped room. Service was great, and breakfast was delicious, with scrambled eggs, oatmeal, sausage, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk, and more. We had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn Anaheim Hills. Highly recommend it!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I had a good night's stay at my first Fairfield Inn. A few days before arriving, I called to change my reservation dates. I chose option 1 and thought I had reached Fairfield, but it connected me to Marriott. The woman who answered was exceptionally rude and hung up on me. I wish I'd gotten her name. I felt her behavior deserved to cost her her job.

The rooms feel dated and need renovation, and the hotel seems understaffed for the number of guests. In my experience, check-in usually takes around 30-40 minutes before they hand over the keys, though the wait can vary. The location itself is decent.

We arrived late, around 10:30 p.m., and the woman at the front desk immediately seemed irritated, as if we were a bother. While checking in, we noticed a moldy smell and paint peeling from the ceiling. Given the hour, we went ahead anyway, though that should've been a warning. Once inside, the rooms smelled like sewage and had stains throughout. One toilet seat had pubic hair on it. We all agreed quickly that we had to leave. At the desk, they refused to refund us, saying we'd signed a contract and there was nothing they could do. Between the mold, sewage smell, stains, and hair, then having to fight for our money, I wouldn't stay here. The photos are misleading, and I wish I could rate it zero. Don't waste your money.
