Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center

The room was very clean, the staff were accommodating, and the location was excellent for Disneyland. We walked back from the park to the hotel more than three times each day with no trouble. But some items were stolen from our room while we were out. All we could really do was file a complaint.

We were a family of four visiting Disneyland from Minnesota. The hotel was clean and modern, with a great pool deck and hot tub, a fitness center, paid laundry, and a good hot breakfast served from 6:30 to 9:30. The service was friendly and capable. It's next to the Disney Toy Story parking lot. You can walk from the hotel to the lot, go through security there, then take a shuttle to the junction of Disneyland, California Adventure, and Disney Downtown District. Shuttles ran continuously, and we never felt we had to wait either way. Hotel parking costs extra each day. I just included that in my room budget. It was a convenient and pleasant place to stay for the parks, and breakfast was a big plus. Have fun at Disney!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the wall-mounted touchscreen for the heating and AC was overcomplicated, and our unit made quite a bit of noise overnight. The breakfast buffet was average, and with just one coffee machine, the line could get long. Getting to the hotel was awkward too. You have to enter through the paid parking lot even if you're only dropping someone off, since there's no main driveway or lobby entrance. Being dog-friendly doesn't mean pets are free. The $75 charge for one night on top of an already high rate felt distasteful. Still, the location is good for Disneyland and other attractions, so maybe those other issues won't matter much.

The location is ideal for a Disneyland visit, and the hotel is family-friendly and good value. A shopping center nearby has food, and there's a pharmacy where we had to pick up baby formula. You can also walk to the Toy Story shuttle parking lot, which saved our feet.
