I've been here five months and may stay another couple of weeks. Everyone has treated me with respect, especially while I’m going through my divorce, and I’m grateful for that. I’ve kept checking that everything in my room works and that nothing is going on, and things have been fine. I can’t express how thankful I am for the good experience at this extended stay motel.
This time, my room had been updated, and it was clean. The work wasn't the best, but it is an improvement despite the marijuana smell in the hallway. The refrigerator was the best feature, brand new and cold enough to freeze beer in minutes. The so-called breakfast and the bathroom hardware were disappointing. The location isn't great either, and KC taxes are ridiculous, especially if you're local and just trying to get away from the in-laws. One night costs $19 in taxes alone. Maybe that will change when the former Super Bowl champs move to Kansas. I'd recommend it for adults traveling.
The staff get 10/10 for their smiles and kind voices, and I felt safe in the quiet area. There were good sniffing spots nearby, though a few squirrels were around. Best of all, dogs like me are welcome at Extended Stay America Suites – Kansas City – Airport. I felt at home as soon as we arrived. My human loved the kitchen, while I supervised the important work of snack preparation. It made the room feel like our own little den. In the morning, my human picked up breakfast, leaving more time for walks and exploring. There's also a fitness center, which I assume is for humans trying to keep up with us. The price was apparently really good, which must mean more money for dog treats. Great stay, cozy vibes, and completely dog-approved. I'd bring my human back anytime. Five out of five paws. The parking lot has a great view of the sports stadiums, but I wouldn't risk staying here again. Our first room had a bloody washcloth, a bloody cup, and hair on the vanity. The front desk worker quickly moved us to another room. In that room, the bathroom light stopped working, so we had to shower with the door open. It was a haunting stay.
My family and I really needed a place to stay then, and we were homeless. The manager kicked me out after I complained about him. He told me to my face that he was doing it because I'd made a complaint to corporate. They put me on a do-not-rent list for no reason. Employees were allowed to get drunk on the clock and smoke weed, which was so unprofessional. The way we were treated was completely wrong, and something should have been done. Here's my proof.
