Fairfield Inn By Marriott Kansas City Airport

Isabella at the front desk is one of my favorite receptionists. She’s friendly and professional, made sure my reservation was right, and handled the accommodations I needed, so the stay went smoothly and exceeded my expectations. I’m a big fan of this hotel. It was well kept and reasonably priced, and I was impressed by the free breakfast, especially the early morning options.

The morning receptionist was nice, and breakfast was okay. The hotel was one of the cheaper options in the area, so it’s fine for a couple of days if those issues don’t matter much to you. I travel often for work, and the night receptionist was rude. The room locations were confusing because the upper floors are split between two buildings, with a second floor in each. It might have been easier to find if the receptionist had given directions. The room also didn’t have that crisp, clean feeling.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, and the staff and service were great. The laundry machines were failing, though. I had to run one load twice and soap was still dried on my clothes, so I went across the street to a partner hotel for a third and final wash. One load turned into a 2.5-hour ordeal and a mile of walking. That part was not great.

The rooms were clean, and the hotel was easy to get to. Being near the airport means some plane noise, but it wasn’t too loud.
