Holiday Inn Express Andalusia by IHG

Our travel plans got disrupted, so we didn’t arrive until after 3am. We called David around midnight to let him know, and he made things really easy. He got our paperwork ready for a quick check-in, combined our reservations so we wouldn’t have to change rooms the next day, and put us in a quiet area at the top of the hotel, knowing how late we’d be. The hotel is nice and well kept. The managers on duty were very friendly, and the front desk staff have been welcoming and helpful. David on the overnight shift is amazing. Our company visits Andalusia often, and this will stay our preferred hotel.

The suite was spacious and had everything I needed to sleep well. The bed was really comfortable, breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly. The hotel felt clean and new.

The rooms are nice, and both breakfast and coffee are pretty good. But the AC thermostat uses an occupancy sensor. After about 30 minutes without activity, it resets to the managed temperature. In my room that was 74, so it would switch from 66 to 74 and turn the heat on. Coworkers in several other rooms reported the same thing. Tying a plastic bag around the AC unit to trigger motion worked for just one night. At well over $150 a night, I should be able to keep the room cold. Stop trying to save money at the expense of guest comfort. The WiFi doesn’t work well, and cell service is almost nonexistent.

I booked the meeting space for a corporate event and was pleased with how clean everything was and how friendly the whole staff were, including Linda. Good job!
