Fairfield Inn & Suites Dallas Plano North

The atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially because they openly let ICE officers stay here. On top of that, the walls are so thin you hear everything all night, so sleep is unlikely. The rooms were dirty, the sheets smelled strange, and the staff treated guests like an inconvenience. Lights were broken, the AC was loud, and nobody helped when we complained. I've never stayed anywhere this bad. Save your money and stay somewhere else, this place was a nightmare from start to finish.

The heater struggled when temperatures outside fell into the 20s. Still, the location was convenient for the Dart rail Parker Rd station and the Plano Event Center. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was well stocked with good food and coffee.

The location is good and the people are nice, but I found mold in every room, in the AC units and carpet. This building needs to be shut down. If you're sensitive to mold, you'll react.

We were able to walk to several good restaurants, including our favorites, Longhorn Steakhouse and the Bavarian restaurant. Parking was adequate, and there was a nice pool, though we didn't use it. Breakfast was very nice and included, and the desk was staffed around the clock with friendly, responsive people. We stayed two nights for a wedding and got a good group rate for the guests and wedding party. Our room was nice, with a comfortable bed and a clean, modern bathroom. Brighter lighting in the room and bathroom would be my only suggestion. They responded promptly to all our needs. We had to leave at 5 a.m. for our flight, and the lovely woman in the breakfast area already had coffee out and invited us to have some. That was a lifesaver. There was also ice water at reception and a bottle filler down the hall.
