The blood on the bed was the worst part, and the bed and blanket made me so itchy. I was glad I was there for only one night. I ended up pulling off the bed cover and blanket, sleeping on a bath towel, and using my jacket as a blanket. I checked in around 5:30pm on Sunday, went out, and came back about 9:30pm. After showering, I lifted the blanket to go to bed and found blood. The front desk said they’d get clean sheets. Forty-five minutes later, I went back and they said they couldn’t get any, then suggested maybe it was my blood. I told them it wasn’t mine, and they said I should just sleep on one side instead. Not a great experience, and the room wasn’t clean.

Breakfast was fresh the next morning, and my room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, just right for a restful night. I was at the Courtyard Marriott for only one night, and everything exceeded expectations. Andrew and his colleague at the front desk were outstanding: friendly, professional, and quick to make check-in easy. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town. Highly recommended!

The front desk clerks were all very friendly, which deserves an extra star. The stay wasn’t terrible, but don’t let the Marriott name fool you. This place is subpar, and with so many nearby options at about the same price, I can’t see a reason to come back. There’s no breakfast, just a bar area where you can buy overpriced food or coffee in the morning. What kind of hotel doesn’t even offer free coffee these days? The elevator is extremely slow and feels like it’s on its last leg. Our room smelled of mildew, and we found roughly five centipedes on the floor over our 3-night stay. You notice all the little things that need fixing: small holes in the walls, cuts in the wallpaper, stains on the carpet. The color scheme, smell, and retro look make it seem like things haven’t been updated in quite a while.

The bathroom was gross, with stains on the toilet and hair in the shower. The pool was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The beds felt like sleeping on plastic-wrapped cardboard, far from the comfort I expected from a Marriott. There’s no free breakfast, which is laughable for what they charge per night. The front desk lady was incredibly rude and unaccommodating from the moment I arrived. No warmth or effort to help, just attitude, and it only got worse from there. This was so bad I’m closing my Marriott account permanently. I’ll never use Marriott again, and I’m telling friends, family, and coworkers to avoid them too. A total embarrassment to the Marriott name.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Marriotts, and the service overall is great. Jose at this location made our night, with funny, welcoming hospitality. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in town.
