I had cockroaches in the refrigerator and bed bugs too. The problem got so bad that I ended up in the hospital and was put on steroids and anti-inflammatories. They wouldn't refund me, just offered another room with different bed bugs and roaches. I left and called the board of health. I saw how they "cleaned": water from the bottom of the shower was wiped up with a dirty rag, then the same rag was used on the rest of the room and floor. The floors weren't really washed, just spot cleaned. I sprinkled some bait killer that my maintenance man from work gave me.

Our room clearly hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. There was dirt, crumbs, and hair in the sheets. I stay here from time to time and hadn't had an issue before, but after tonight I won't be back. I checked in late, then the front desk worker told me I couldn't have a pet. He asked if I'd come from a dog show. I politely explained that my dog is a service animal and is allowed to travel with me under the ADA. He wouldn't acknowledge that and charged me a $25 fee. I paid because I was tired and didn't want to make a fuss, but this is prohibited under the ADA. I'm extremely upset and hurt by how little he seemed to know about the law.

I spent a week here, and it was a disgrace. The place smelled bad and was disgusting. There were rats, and when the owner caught one in a trap in my room, he covered a hole in the wall with cardboard and duct tape. I wasn't given clean towels either. I had to take my own towel to the desk and wait while he washed it.

The mold was so bad I could barely breathe, and my chest still hurts. After crying on the floor for a few hours, I said I'd sleep in my car while I found another room elsewhere. The owner finally came out when I was checking out and was kind, asking why I didn't want another room. I told him to inspect the mold, explained I'd already tried asking for another room and clean sheets without getting help, and apologized before leaving. It was weird and scary. I wouldn't stay here even if the room were free, especially alone as a woman. I felt very uneasy. I had to leave after only a few hours. Check-in meant ringing one of three random doorbells, then an angry man in pajamas came out of another room looking as if I'd interrupted his shows. The room looked like a domestic assault had happened, to put it mildly. There were no deadbolts or chain lock, and the lock barely worked from outside. One lamp was crooked and looked punched, the other looked hit harder. The bed had been stabbed, with dried blood and burn holes, and zip ties holding dirty sheets to it. There were stab holes in the walls, wires torn out, and ripped curtains stapled back up. Blinds on one window were torn too, as if someone had grabbed them. The bathroom had a car ashtray sticker from the local dollar store. Mold covered the floors and lights, and there was so much in the bathroom I could barely breathe. The shower door was so rusted it hardly shut. Cell service and Wi-Fi barely worked. I asked for fresh sheets and was told maybe in a few hours. When I said the mold was making it hard to breathe and asked about an open room, they said maybe in the morning, even though there were definitely other rooms open. I got another room elsewhere. As I left the keys in the drop box, the owner came out and asked why I hadn't accepted another room. I'd already asked for help, waited another hour, and been given another room.

The website photos were misleading, and booking this room for my husband's last-minute family wedding was a huge mistake. He had a 12-hour drive and couldn't travel with me. Staff were rude at check-in and gave him a filthy room. They said nothing else was available, but I checked the website and saw several rooms still listed. They wouldn't move him to a clean room, refund us, or offer to service the room. The lot was full of unrepaired potholes, a walking hazard. The door was insecure: both the flip latch and deadbolt were broken or missing parts, and gaps under it and beside the knob meant it barely caught. The peephole was too dirty to see through. The ceiling light was dirty and full of dead bugs. The AC and heater filter was so clogged with dust my husband had to clean it himself to get air flowing. Bathroom linens were rumpled, and there were only a couple of tiny ketchup-packet toiletries. The bed was made, but he wasn't sure the sheets were fresh. The mattress was lumpy, worn out, noisy, and uncomfortable. The bedspreads looked like the ones they had in 1997. Mismatched chairs had stained upholstery, and dead bugs covered the window sill. Dirt and grime were all over the floors and surfaces. The sink drained painfully slowly, and the shower was so filthy with rust and grime that he wouldn't use it. The room smelled of mildew and stale cigarettes, despite being booked as non-smoking. Smoke and air-quality detectors were falling off the wall, with no indicator lights on, so we assumed they weren't working. The room didn't look properly serviced in a very long time. From the photos he sent, it was clear there was little basic care taken. You'd be better off sleeping in your car. I have 13 photos in this review, but they won't show when I post it.
