The balcony had a spectacular mountain view, and the suite was spotless. My husband and I slept in the king bed, and that mattress was amazingly comfortable. There's also a second room with two queen beds, plus a living room and dining area with a microwave and mini fridge. We heard good things about the restaurant's food, though we couldn't eat there. It was a great stay, and we'll stay again when we're in the area.

The resort staff were so helpful, finding all kinds of things for us to do during our weeklong stay. We also had an incredible meal at Ace's Kitchen, the onsite restaurant, and can't wait to come back for snow and skiing. Our room, balcony, and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and they provided a fan since there are no ac units in the mountains. We felt right at home and had an absolute excellent stay at the lodge. Thank you Elk horn Lodge, we'll definitely be back!

We had a great time at this lodge for our family's Christmas vacation. I was a little concerned after reading reviews, but the new owners and management have done amazing. They're renovating it every day and have gone above and beyond. Denise was amazing, the sweetest lady, and just the right person to run the lodge. We've already booked our spot for Christmas 2020. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We'd stay here again and again, 100%. The staff were so friendly, and it was easy to walk to two restaurants, the market, and the rentals next door, which cost less than renting at Angel Fire Resort. Each morning, they served a great hot breakfast right at the table, and we loved the cowboy singing. We also reserved a horseback ride through the National Forest with Nancy. It was amazing and so beautiful. When our car got stuck, they helped us get it out. Thanks for a great stay and experience. We've already told lots of family and friends about the lodge, and we'll be back!

I had a blast, and the view was lovely. House-keeping should check the sheets, though, since I found unwanted blonde hair. There's no cable or air conditioning, and no elevator, but I liked taking the stairs for a good workout. It was really nice otherwise. Thanks again for your hospitality.
