Red Roof Inn Ann Arbor - U of Michigan South

The room had everything I needed: it was clean, the temperature was adjustable, and there was a microwave and small fridge. I didn’t need room service that first day, so I put out the “Do not disturb” tag and slept as long as I wanted, like Rip Van Winkle. The lady at the desk was very kind to a weary traveler, and I’m grateful to the manager. 12/27: Two days after my first two-night stay, I came back for another two nights because of the storm coming. I got the same warm welcome, clean room, and easy departure. It was an easy place to rest.

I walked my dog at all hours and felt safe in this nice office park area. The hotel was clean, stylish, and fairly new, and the other guests were friendly. I was there four nights and didn’t get fresh towels or garbage pickup from housekeeping, so service gets low stars, though it wasn’t a big deal. No other complaints.

The room was spacious, beautiful, and so clean, with no bad smell at all. This was the cleanest Red Roof Inn we’ve ever seen, and we’ll be back. Other Red Roof Inns we’ve stayed in smelled so gross I wanted to puke, with hair balls on the floor, dirty showers, and toilets that weren’t clean enough. Thanks for taking care of us, it’s much appreciated.

Parking was the one drawback. The spaces by our room are on a dead-end street, so if they’re all taken, you have to back all the way out. Otherwise, this is one of the best Red Roof Inns I’ve stayed at, with clean, unstained towels and a clean, spacious, updated room. I’ll definitely stay here again.
