Mcclellan Inn Anniston

After storms left us without power for two days, we had to find somewhere to stay. I killed two bugs near the door the first night, then the next day they were crawling across the walls, bed, and counter. Once I’d killed eight or nine, we packed up and left around 5 p.m. I told the person at the desk, who said they have someone spray monthly, then took the card and walked away. We lost $80, but I wasn’t going to keep my family in a room with roaches crawling over everything.

For the price, this place was great, one of the least expensive around. It was really clean, and the shower had been newly renovated and was spacious. The room smelled fresh, too. I’d stay again for sure.

We were in town for an ACA Mountain Bike race and spent our days at Ft Mcclellan, so mostly just slept at the hotel. Over two nights, we had no real issues. The room was clean enough, we felt safe enough, the water got hot, and the shower had good pressure. Staff seemed nice, though I only got a friendly smile here and there. The beds had a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and an empty duvet, but no blanket at all. We travel with blankets and pillows, luckily, but mine were with me while my husband and boys arrived the day before, so they froze the first night. For what we paid, though, I can’t complain.

Worst place I’ve stayed in my hometown. The manager doesn’t seem to care. Every sign said checkout was at eleven, but then they came around claiming it was 10:30, with nothing posted to say the time had changed. I’d advise people not to stay at this motel.
