Super 8 Appomattox

I usually don't write reviews, but this motel earned an honest one. I'm a travel nurse and have stayed in four and five star hotels all over. My plans fell apart during an event, when college students were returning to Lynchburg, about 20 minutes away where the hospital is. This was the only place with a room, and it was a smoking room. I hate cigarette smoke, but had no choice. It smelled like smoke, as you'd expect, but was clean and comfortable, so I settled in. When a non-smoking room opened up, I moved, and it was even cleaner, with a super-soft bed. Two weeks later, I stayed again between homes, this time in a huge king room. It too was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. Everything worked, and the TV was big and in great shape. I didn't see dirty carpets in any of my rooms, though I always wear shoes. A lot of construction workers stay here, so keeping the hallway carpets clean must be hard. Dirty carpets and bad smells can happen at pricier hotels too. Good job, Super 8 Appomattox VA!

For a truck driver, the location is handy and there's truck parking. The front desk service and layout were great, and staff were helpful. The room was dated and smelled of smoke, but it worked as a place to sleep before getting back on the road.

Getting to Liberty University was easy, and the staff were friendly. The room was clean apart from the shower head, which I cleaned myself, and there were no other issues. Still, a second-floor room was tough with small kids because there are no elevators or luggage carts. Thanks!

It's always clean, and the staff are always friendly. I stay here often and never regret it. If you're headed to the Appomattox area, I'd suggest this place. There are only two other hotels nearby: one seems better suited to people looking for illegal things, and the other costs $150 a night. This one is both clean and affordable.
