Float Palm Springs

There's a grapefruit tree that made a nice pre-breakfast snack, and the pool and hot tub were pleasant. The units have kitchens, the hot water was good, the bed was comfy, and the remote staff were pleasant. It was also quiet and clean. The place is a bit shabby and cheaply built, with mismatched threadbare towels, hollow doors, and very low showerheads. There isn't much nearby for food or drinks. Still, if you can live with those quirks, it may be the best low-cost choice around. Four stars for the price in this area. It has some soul, unlike the big cheap chains.

A real hidden treasure in a very quiet area, with a pool that's open 24 hours. The rooms are spacious and you can have a comfortable stay, though they could use maintenance and some upgrades. I'd replace all the cookware. There's a lot of potential here.

It was clean enough that we didn't feel we had to leave, but we weren't really comfortable. The online photos gave a misleading impression: the courtyard and pool look very outdated, and our room had a musty smell. Check-in felt sketchy since we never met any hotel staff. The jacuzzi was only lukewarm, the toilet kept running, and the bed had an old box spring with a much too soft topper.

From the outside, the hotel might put you off, but inside it’s surprisingly cute. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable. There’s a kitchen with a full size fridge, and the pool and general atmosphere are great. I think you'll enjoy staying here.
