Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Arcadia by IHG

I’m giving these stars only for my experience with the staff, not for the hotel itself. Whether they pass their IHG inspection on the first try this year remains to be seen. That information is public. A real pool certification wouldn’t hurt either. As I understand it, anyone with a CPO certificate is automatically responsible for anything that happens on the property, including an injury or death, rather than the hotel or its owners. Google it.

The location felt strange at first, but it turned out to be handy. If you forget something, Walmart and several fast food places are within walking distance. My kids especially loved the free cocoa, which was a big win for me. Everything else was good, too. When we arrived, the clerk was amazing, helpful, and polite. He started a friendly conversation and made us feel comfortable. I’m pretty paranoid about staying away from home, so that meant a lot to me and my family. Thank you, holiday inn, and “Mr. Keshawn”.

We stayed just one night, and breakfast was good. Everyone was so pleasant and made the stay comfortable. Thanks!

I stopped letting housekeeping into my room for the rest of my four-night stay because the first service was so poor. They made the bed and took out the trash, but didn’t replace the linens. I could tell the bed had only been made up. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned either, with dead gnats around the sink faucet. It left me wondering whether rooms are actually cleaned between guests.
