Best Western Arcata Inn

The green space was a lovely surprise, especially the dog area with bags provided. It’s a shame some pet owners leave messes instead of using them. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our visit, and the breakfast spread was better than I expected. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the laundry facilities were clean and easy to use. I hadn't stayed at a Best Western in years, but this one changed my mind. It suited our needs perfectly.

The price feels completely out of line for what is basically a remodeled motel. The location is very close to a rehab, and you might come across things you’d rather not see. I'd think twice about booking here and consider other hotels.

Eli at the front desk went out of his way to make us comfortable. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed a few nights here with the family. Breakfast was spotless and had a good range of hot dishes and staples, with options changing each day. Staff also put out cookies in the afternoon, which we loved. The pool and hot tub area worked well, with part of it open to the air so it felt fresh. Our room was roomy and comfortable, though the shower and toilet area looked dated. The rest was well maintained. Housekeeping is by request only.

It's clean, friendly, and well cared for. The showers are a little unusual, but easy to use, and the high showerheads are a plus if you're tall. This isn't a luxury stay, just a good place to sleep while you're out doing other things.
