Best Western Ardmore Inn

The bed was extremely hard, and the room smelled so strongly of cleaning solution it was almost overwhelming. The countertops were dirty, the toilet ran all night, and the air conditioning kept running for a minute before shutting off for about ten minutes, over and over all night. The hallways looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a year, with crap all over the floor. Given how dirty everything was, we didn't trust the food.

We checked out just 15 minutes after arriving on Friday. We pulled back the sheets as we always do, to check them and put on a foam bed cover for extra support, and found fresh blood. There was blood on the nightstand too, and blood or drugs had run down the wall. The air conditioner was covered in blood. There was also children's coloring on the walls, which wasn't a major issue on its own. It looked like someone had been shooting drugs in the room. They may not be able to stop drug use at the hotel, but they can clean the rooms. We asked for our money back, but they have only offered another room. If the room wasn't cleaned and was just made to look clean by making the bed, I don't want another room from them. We went to a different hotel. The manager still hasn't responded, and we'll be contacting the health department. Mike Patel, this is absolutely unacceptable.

The rates were great, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, right off I-35. Our room was large and comfortable, with a solid, supportive bed. Breakfast was the weak spot: the juice machine was broken, and the powdered eggs were terrible.

The place was clean, and breakfast was good. They had shampoo, conditioner, and soap ready for guests. The woman at the counter was really sweet and helpful.
