Days Inn by Wyndham Arlington Pentagon

The room smelled bad, had very poor lighting, and even the TV didn’t work. Water pressure from both the faucet and shower was barely there, and the old bedding was uncomfortable. Everything was dusty, and the property felt extremely old and poorly maintained. At night there was constant noise from people singing and laughing. In the morning, housekeeping knocked early and spoke another language, so communication wasn’t clear. For this condition, the price is far too high, and the photos mislead customers.

There’s a Walgreens next door and several food choices nearby, which is about all the location has going for it. The floor was sticky in spots and clearly hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived, so I kept my socks on. At first the room smelled clean, but after a few days it turned musty and disgusting. Roaches of all sizes came out at every hour, even with the lights on. The staff weren’t very agreeable either. When I asked for something, I got an irritated response and no greeting.

The night shift reception staff were very rude and unhelpful. Our group of four booked the Days Inn by Wyndham Arlington Pentagon, but the beds felt too small for four people, and there were no outlets near them. The room only had towels for two, despite the booking being for four. There was no bathroom ventilation, and the shower barely had enough hot water for one person. Breakfast was disappointing, mostly frozen items or food with lots of preservatives. The lack of basic amenities and poor service made for a very unpleasant stay. I wouldn’t recommend it for groups or anyone wanting a comfortable, well-serviced experience.

Great value for a budget hotel. The room was dated but clean and well maintained, and breakfast included toast, cereal, and coffee. An Uber to the Lincoln Memorial was about $13-$15.
