The room had a broken phone, which mattered since I’d just moved from overseas and had no cell service, and the water pressure was so bad we found it easier to shower at the sink. It took four days for the pressure to be fixed, and the phone still didn’t work. When I asked the on-site customer service rep about it, they acted as if I was interrupting them and told me to use my cell phone. The problems started before I even arrived. I booked a furnished place while preparing to move back from Germany, then got a check-in link asking for personal documents and a photo of my credit card. When I called to ask about checking in face to face, they said they’d cancel the booking and keep my money if I didn’t upload everything. After several unhelpful calls, I was told it was non-refundable, so I felt I had no choice. I uploaded the documents and heard nothing, so I assumed all was set. A day before leaving Germany, I called to confirm and learned the reservation still wasn’t complete because they needed more information. I sent even more documents before they finally confirmed it. After four years abroad, I’d been looking forward to being back in the US, but this experience made coming home feel awful. I’ve lived on five continents, and this was the worst customer service I’ve ever had. They weren’t flexible or helpful, and charged too much for what we got. Avoid this company.
