Residence Inn By Marriott Pentagon City

Our room had a great view of the DC skyline, and by the elevators there was a nice view of the Pentagon. Whole Foods, the metro, and Pentagon City Mall were each a block away, and there’s a free airport shuttle. My husband and I had our own bedroom and bathroom, and the kids had a separate room with queen beds and their own bathroom. There was lots of room and plenty of towels. The full-size kitchen was a little small, but having a stove, oven, fridge, and microwave was a blessing since I have allergies and need to cook my own food. The staff were so friendly and helpful. When it started raining as we walked back from the metro, someone met us at the doors with towels to dry off. My family loved this hotel. We’ll be back!

Traffic around here is rough, as it is everywhere in the area. The hotel was a really nice place to stay while visiting the Pentagon, top shelf, just what you’d expect from a Marriott. Staff were friendly, and everything looked clean and well maintained. We had a late dinner there, and the menu was good.

Everyone made us feel at home while we were away. The transportation, housekeeping, front desk, food staff, and even security were all friendly and went above and beyond. Breakfast and Mix time were great, and staff put in extra effort to make things nice. After I fell on a sidewalk by a store and badly hurt my hand and knee, they offered bandages and anything else I needed. The next day, I got a little care bag with treats and water and the kindest note. Staff even helped clean up after meals. We had wonderful service from the airport onward. I appreciate them all, and I’d come back every time I’m in the area.

I gave this five stars after the hotel made moving rooms so easy. They’d been watching availability and called to say I could move into the two-bedroom suite a day earlier than expected. I thought I’d have to keep asking, so that was a really nice surprise. The second room was just as clean and comfortable as my King Studio. We used both the airport shuttle and the one around town, and each was good. Everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping, stayed friendly and helpful throughout. If I come back to DC, I’ll stay here again. Before that, the staff were already friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good variety, though some items weren’t as well prepared as at other Residence Inn locations. They were still totally edible. The King Studio was clean, and I couldn’t hear much noise from next door. I had planned to report back about the shuttle and room move, but both went well.
