Holiday Inn Express and Suites Asheboro by IHG

The rooms were nice and the property seemed clean overall, so it’s not a bad hotel for the area. The bathroom was the problem. The shower isn’t level, which leaves water pooling inside, and there was some kind of residue around the shower’s inside base.

Even though we changed our reservation at the last minute, the staff made us feel like regulars. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast area had a great variety, the fitness room was decent for its size, and there was outdoor seating available.

The room was comfortable, with fresh white linens and bedding that felt new, firm, and cozy. The Dove bath, shower, and skin care products were a nice touch. WiFi was fast, and the TV had plenty of channels to choose from. The lobby also had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available around the clock. The hotel was clean and impressive, with a well-lit parking lot. Its spot in the heart of Asheboro made it convenient to reach nearby shops and restaurants. Holiday Inn Express usually impresses me and rarely disappoints. Highly recommend.

I needed a clean, quiet room to rest after a long workday, and that’s not what I got. The air conditioner made a loud, steady whistling sound that kept me from sleeping and irritated me the whole time. The shower area was in unacceptable condition, with extensive mold in the bathroom. Cleanliness and upkeep were poor overall, and there were chunks of mud throughout the property. After work, I came back to find the towels hadn’t been replaced from the previous day. Having to call staff about basic cleaning and maintenance was the last thing I wanted. This visit was very disappointing, and I’ll most likely look for somewhere else on future trips to the area.
