Courtyard Asheville

We asked for a room facing the back to avoid looking at the parking lot, and got a great one on the 3rd floor with a beautiful mountain view. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We didn't get to use the pool, though it looked nice. We do wish there had been a hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

There was major construction that hadn't been disclosed. My first room wasn't cleaned properly: intimate clothing was hanging from a light fixture, and the couch had stains. The employees were nice and found me another room, but it had smaller beds and no balcony. The whole experience was disappointing.

I stayed April 9 - 11, and the construction made for a bad visit. The website didn't mention the work when I booked, and I had requested an upgrade. When I arrived, there were construction vehicles on the property. At check-in I learned the 3rd floor was being remodeled and no upgrades were available, yet my upgrade still showed as pending. They didn't offer another location. It was late, so I reluctantly stayed. The first morning was okay, but on Saturday, April 11, drills and hammers in the room above woke us at 0800. I spoke with Ashley, the manager. She apologized and said they had a contract schedule to keep, seven days a week starting at 0800. There was no sense of caring. I packed up and left rather than put up with more construction. Another couple was leaving as I returned to my room, and the husband was upset about the same thing. I left a comment on the Bonvoy site and got no response. After calling them directly, I finally got some satisfaction from Bonvoy.

Renovations had just begun, and the entrance smelled like the lumber department at Home Depot. We hadn't been told about the work and would have booked somewhere else. The young woman on duty that night was awesome and apologized.
