Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Asheville Tunnel Road

The breakfast spread was really nice, especially the turkey sausage for anyone looking beyond pork, plus good eggs, waffles, bagels, and oatmeal with plenty of toppings like walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and coconut flakes. There are several good restaurants nearby and an Ingles less than five minutes away. We stayed one night for a quick getaway. The entry smelled fresh and was clean, check-in was easy, and both the room and bathroom were clean. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi says it holds five, but it overflowed a bit with four people. It wasn’t as hot as some jacuzzis, though still pleasant for unwinding. I’d come back.

We got a nice surprise at check-in, a free upgrade from a regular king room to a suite. It was clean, comfortable, and in good shape, with a particularly large shower and good water pressure. Breakfast was standard but good, and the staff were nice. It’s close enough to most places you’d want to visit, and the price was a great deal. I’d stay again.

The room had everything we needed, and we didn’t hear our neighbors at all overnight. Breakfast was hot and decent. On weekends it runs 7-10, and I think weekdays are 6:30-9:30. The only annoyance was the TV, which kept backing out and wouldn’t show the channels we selected. It happened throughout our stay, so I’m not sure if it was just our room or a wider issue. Still, we’d absolutely stay again. There’s plenty of free parking. There isn’t a sign on the road for this hotel, but you’ll see one for the Quality Inn next door. If you turn in there by mistake, it’s fine, the lots connect.

Aaliyah greeted us with a smile every time we came in, answered my questions, and made us feel at home. She was very professional. I was also happy with how clean and comfortable the room was. It had everything we needed: plenty of towels, coffee maker, ironing board, blow dryer, fridge, microwave, an easy-to-use TV, and Wi-Fi. Breakfast was another nice surprise, with a wide choice of hot and cold food and great coffee at a moderately priced hotel. We didn’t need to go elsewhere for breakfast. There was lots of parking and no charge for it, which was surprising just four miles from downtown. I’ll stay here again when I return to Asheville.
