We were put in three rooms in a row that were already occupied. The second time, my family and I walked in on a guest in their underwear. After we were moved again, my six-year-old granddaughter used the key card to enter a third occupied room, where we encountered another guest in their underwear. It took two hours to sort out. The front desk clerk apologized, but eventually stopped coming out to help. My daughter had to wait for another clerk to resolve things. We were also told we’d get complimentary breakfast, but weren’t given any. I have years of experience as a night auditor, and these failures were unacceptable. I was told by the corporate office that I would receive a full refund, and I expect the hotel to honor that. Given the safety and privacy issues, what’s currently being considered isn’t enough. If the full refund isn’t issued immediately, I’ll take the matter further by filing a claim with my bank, posting a formal review on the hotel website, and contacting corporate management again. I look forward to a prompt resolution. I filed a claim with the hotel about what my family went through, and attached a copy of my letter to the claims department.
