Kimpton Hotel Arras by IHG

We picked the Kimpton Arras after finding a Travelzoo deal, and cancelled our original booking at the AC Hotel across the street. It was a great choice for our Asheville anniversary trip. The rooms were clean and nice, and everyone was polite, accommodating, and provided outstanding service. The downtown location was excellent. We enjoyed a good breakfast at Bargello, and the free beer and wine in the lobby from 5 to 6 was a nice extra. We'd happily return.

We had two furry travel companions with us, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Everyone was pleasant and personable, and seemed to care about the guests. Eve at the restaurant deserves a shoutout, the breakfast had lots of delicious choices. Dave, thanks again for getting the complimentary bicycle ready for a ride around town. Jamie at the front desk and concierge was so welcoming and knew the hotel and local attractions well. Jamie also gave us great food and brewery suggestions. It was our first time in Asheville, in May 2026. Our room, lobby, and gym were stylish, clean, and comfortable. What a beautiful Kimpton property.

We found the room very nice, with a downtown Asheville view, a large fridge, and water and ice stations on every floor. The hotel offers complimentary drinks and snacks at a 5 PM happy hour, plus free coffee each morning. We didn't try the restaurants, but went to the bar twice and found well-made drinks and plenty of choices. We'd been to Asheville many times over the last 15 years, but this was our first stay at Kimpton Hotel Arras. Valet was busy when we got there, so we parked across the street at the AC Hotel garage for $22 a night. The central location was convenient, check-in was quick, and the front desk welcomed us. We often stay with Marriott and Hyatt, and this hotel felt more upscale. All the staff were very friendly.

We ended up extending our stay by a day because Jamie, Nicole, and Barry at the front desk went so far out of their way to make my birthday feel special and luxurious for me and my partner. Jamie gave us excellent service, and the food and activity suggestions were right on. I appreciate how kind and understanding the team was about communicating with us if our very friendly, exuberant German Shorthaired pointer barked. That helped us feel at ease about bringing him somewhere new. The valets were fast and accommodating, and our housekeeper kept the suite immaculate with thoughtful touches. The gym smelled fresh and had equipment I wanted to use. Breakfast portions were large enough to share and really good, especially the breakfast burrito. This Kimpton gave me one of my best hotel stays. I love the dog-friendly feel, community events, and high-end bedding. The staff at Hotel Arras are elite. We'll be back!
