Alicia welcomed us like family, and we settled into the relaxing feel of the Black Walnut Inn right away. My mother and I had switched from a reservation at the Biltmore Inn at the last minute, and we’re so glad we did. The home and its landscaping are beautiful, with a thoughtful artistic touch. Homemade cookies, coffee, tea, and cold drinks were waiting for us, and the neighborhood felt peaceful and stately. It’s close to everything Asheville offers but still feels private, and we walked to dinner twice and felt safe. Our room had everything we needed to feel at home. Breakfasts were filling, delicious, and creative, like a gourmet restaurant experience each morning. We’ll definitely return.

Our three nights at the Black Walnut were magical and worth every penny. It’s hands down the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at, and I’d give it ten stars. The rooms were spotless and had everything we could need, while each breakfast was a nourishing but indulgent gourmet masterpiece. Alicia and her sister Celeste made us feel as if we’d known them for years, starting with a warm welcome. The house and landscaping have a lovely artistic feel, and homemade cookies plus coffee, tea, and cold drinks were ready for us. The neighborhood is quiet and stately, and the Asheville location is hard to beat for both convenience and atmosphere.

We had the place to ourselves, which isn’t usual, and enjoyed Alicia’s baked treats and a quiet read on the front porch. She was kind and attentive from the minute we arrived, and both the room and breakfast were lovely. The B&B is in a beautiful historic neighborhood, peaceful but with quick access to downtown Asheville. It’s an old home with plenty of charm, and we loved staying here. Hope business picks up again soon!

Alicia made our honeymoon feel so special, and the meals showed how much thought she put into the whole experience. The Sunshine room was cozy, comfortable, and romantic, and the whole place was beautifully decorated. We had such a lovely time at the Black Walnut. I’d give it six stars if I could. Thanks for a honeymoon we’ll never forget!
