We booked Zelda Dearest for one night for a concert at The Orange Peel, then realized it was literally next door. The location couldn't have been more convenient. Staff were warm and helpful, the room felt luxurious, and the high-end amenities and wonderful bathrobes were a treat. Breakfast was fresh and healthy, and seemed to include organic, locally sourced ingredients. The coffee was great too. Highly recommend for a comfortable downtown Asheville stay.

We first stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel in 2025 and plan to return in 2026, and whenever we're in town after that. It's beautifully decorated and clean, and gave us the relaxing getaway we wanted. Breakfast had a delicious range of choices for different dietary restrictions, which was a real plus. The two women on duty gave outstanding service. They were sweet and gracious, and even upgraded our room for my comfort. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and artistic finds within walking distance. This will always be my go-to hotel. You'll absolutely enjoy your stay, don't hesitate to book!

After just one night, this converted set of adorable buildings has become our favorite among the many Asheville hotels we've tried. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are roomy, and we loved the decor. The service was amazing, and the design clearly puts a lot of thought into how things work, something I appreciate as an interior design designer. They also provide a complementary breakfast.

I wanted to love this place, but it was strange and short on some basics. The rooms are beautifully furnished, though I've never seen so many air con units in one room, and they create a constant rumble. For $250 a night, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a night porter. There was no night staff, no security gates, and no contact person who works for Zelda. I needed help late at night and found the whole thing stressful. Thankfully, the lady at the Radical was able to help. The speakeasy bar is excellent and the bar staff were friendly, though clearly stretched. I left with a positive impression overall, but the nighttime security needs a rethink. With open street access to all areas and no staff around, I wouldn't feel safe here as a solo female traveler.

We stayed two nights and never moved the car until checkout, since the location makes it easy to walk all around downtown. Jake, the manager, made me feel right at home with cocktails he'd chosen from the bar and lots of local tips for things to do and places to eat. Breakfast was amazing, brought in from a local pastry chef, I believe. The thoughtful interior design, with no details overlooked, is a big part of why I love boutique hotels. Zelda Dearest will be my first choice when I'm back in Asheville. 💯
