We tried to ask for a refund, and the manager was barefoot. They said they’d give us a full refund. If it doesn’t come through, I’ll update this. The Board of Health should be notified. The room smelled as soon as we walked in, and there was dust on every surface. The shower and tub weren’t clean, with dried soap running down the shower walls. Mold on the ceiling was the final straw. When my husband went in at 2:45 pm to ask about early check-in, the lights were off and nobody was at the front desk. It was Valentine’s Day, and finding another place seemed unlikely, so we decided to try it despite already having a bad feeling. Then I saw another guest having to kick dirty sheets away from their doorway just to get in. That was the second red flag. If I could give zero stars, I would.

After hiking six miles through snow and ice in winter, all I wanted was a hot bath. The tub only produced lukewarm water, and it went cold before the tub was halfway full. The walls are paper thin too. I could hear the couple next door just talking and making out, not yelling or being loud. I thought I might find a sweet snack in the vending machine since there weren’t any hospitality items, but it was half empty and took coins only. I won’t even get into the lack of breakfast during breakfast hours. I picked this place for a quiet room, a bed, and a hot bath, and I’ve never been this disappointed with a hotel or lodging. Stay somewhere else, whatever it costs.

I had no real choice since it was late, but at over $100 a night these rooms aren’t worth it. The microwave, TV, and lamp wouldn’t turn on, the toilet took forever to flush, and breakfast was very limited. 4/10. I could’ve found somewhere better for the same price.

At 10 PM on both nights we were there, what looked like the manager’s very young children were running around screaming in the second-floor sitting area. Our room was close by. I went out to say I couldn’t sleep and needed to get up for skiing in the morning. The manager just looked at me without saying a word, no apology. I’ve seen him several times since.
