Eagle Peak Lodge & Cabins

This little motel is in a quaint small town, about an hour south of the West Yellowstone entrance and the same distance from the sand dunes. The service is excellent and everyone is very friendly. I’ve put my student drivers up here when I head home, and they’ve all enjoyed staying there.

We missed out on the group deal because we’d already booked somewhere else by the time it was arranged, so we didn’t stay here ourselves. We did spend an evening with friends at the property, though, and it seemed quite nice. It was easy to get to, but far enough from the highway to be quiet. Around Ashton, the scenery is fantastic. Bring mosquito repellent. I had mine and came away with just one bite.

The three queen room worked perfectly for our family of five, and the price was great for what we got. There’s a gas station and restaurant right next door, and Yellowstone is only 57 minutes away. Inside, the room was spacious and very clean, with fresh, comfortable linens and a shower that was just the right size. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. They even brought us a bag of ice for our cooler. We had a great stay and will definitely come back.

Scott was a fantastic host, and Matt and Scott made us feel welcome throughout our three nights. Scott was quick to respond whenever we needed something. Our group of seven, including kids, found the lodge family friendly, with clean, roomy rooms and new showers and baths. It had everything we needed at a very good price. The area felt safe for families, and there’s a gas station next door. It’s about 50 minutes from the West Yellowstone entrance, but the scenic drive goes by quickly. I’d recommend staying here and booking directly with Matt and Scott.
