Aspen Shadow Mountain 14

The layout worked really well for our hockey weekend: a small kitchen, a main bedroom with its own bathroom, a living room, and a loft with two larger beds for the kids. We could see one rink from the balcony, and the other was only six minutes away. Everyone on staff was so friendly and kind. We're glad we chose this lodge, and we'd stay here again if we're back.

We enjoyed the heated pool and the grill, which let us cook some of our own food. There was construction underway, though it seemed like the whole town was pushing upgrades before the season. Service from the managers and housekeeping was good. Next time, we'd get a bigger room.

We had a wonderful time in the apartment, and it was just right for my wife, the kids, and me. The West end neighborhood was really quiet, even though town and the ski lifts were only a few short blocks away. There were great facilities too, including a heated pool with spa jets, a sauna, and BBQs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Such a hidden gem in Aspen.

I was comfortable here, and the daily housekeeping kept both the apartment and kitchen clean. The full kitchen helped us save by eating in, which made the price easier to understand once I realized most Aspen hotels cost more than twice as much. It's a good way to visit Aspen without spending a ton. There's also a pull-down bed in the living room, so you don't have to sleep in the upstairs loft. I was a little disappointed at first because it seemed expensive compared with places I'd stayed before.
