We were very happy to book with Scott twice. The rooms are functional, which worked fine for us, and the stay was comfortable. Scott and Susan, along with Dusty the dog, create a warm, wonderful, and professional atmosphere. Breakfast is simple and good, with fresh fruit, hot coffee (very important!), and really good omelets Scott makes to order. The afternoon wine and cheese, along with the latest Aspen gossip, is wonderful. The emails before the reservation were quick and cheerful, too. Highly recommend!

Guests get to know each other over breakfast or afternoon wine at this warm, cozy hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms have that vintage Aspen feel. It's a great value, with a perfect location within walking distance of everything.

The rooms are on the small, cozy side, but we were comfortable, and breakfast, the après-ski wine and charcuterie, and the outdoor hot tub were all lovely. What stood out most was how relaxed and welcoming everyone was. It felt more comfortable than plenty of upscale hotels. We’d be happy to stay at Hearthstone House again on our next Aspen ski trip.

We stayed at Hearthstone House over New Year’s with my wife and had such a good time. The hosts were friendly, knew Aspen well, and went out of their way to help. Shannon even let me try her low-light ski goggles, which really helped on the mountain. Breakfast was great, and we liked unwinding with the other guests at wine and cheese hour. The cozy property is two blocks from downtown and one block from the ski shuttle for the different mountains. It was our first time in Aspen, and we’ll be back to see our new friends. Book if you find availability. I can’t promise your flight into Aspen will go smoothly, but the Hearthstone team will look after you once you arrive.

The staff were personable, friendly, and helpful, and I enjoyed the stay enough that I’d come back. This is a quaint B&B downtown, within walking distance of town and about an 8-minute walk to the Silver Queen gondola up Aspen Mountain. It’s more affordable than most nearby choices, though still expensive, as you’d expect in Aspen. Breakfast is continental, with coffee, bagels, omelettes, and more. There’s also a small hot tub in the front yard. I didn’t go to the nightly après-ski wine and cheese reception, but it looked nice. The room was comfortable, if a little dated.
