Mountain Chalet Aspen

Alan at the desk was a big help, and the service overall blew us away. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise after the usual complimentary hotel breakfasts on our road trip: two made-to-order hot options, plus fresh fruit that kept being replenished, juices, tea, coffee, breads, and pastries. The kind staff served it in a spacious dining room. We didn’t get a chance to use the beautiful pool. The layout is maze-like, but the bathrooms were clean and nice, and the beds were comfortable.

We had a great mountain view and really liked the beautiful location. The room was very clean, and the dining area was spacious with good breakfast service. There wasn’t a microwave in our room, but there was one in the lobby for anyone who needs to use it.

The hotel is close to the big park, the pedestrian walkway, and the cable ride up Aspen Mountain. Our room was clean and everything worked, including the TV with its many channels and the shower and sink water pressure. Breakfast was included and great every morning. There’s a game room with a pool table, plus amenities like a fitness room, heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and saunas, though those weren’t operational during our stay. The parking underneath is tight to navigate, so large vehicles wouldn’t work, but there’s an elevator from that level to the other floors. Staff kindly let us watch two dogs briefly before my son’s wedding. The pet fee was $30, which was fine. We’d consider staying again, so high marks for Mountain Chalet Aspen.

A cozy, affordable little place to stay in Aspen, with absolutely exceptional staff. The front desk gave us a great dinner recommendation, Acquolina, wow, and breakfast service was the friendliest ever. By a wild coincidence, we were there during the annual John Denver celebration, with a joyful singalong in the lobby that went on for hours. So fun!
