The rooms were clean and welcoming, and the stay was fun without costing too much. Julie was a big part of what made it so good. She was warm, professional, and fast to help with anything I needed. I’m pretty particular about where I stay, and this place won me over. I’d recommend it.

We dropped by on Saturday and were greeted warmly. Before that, I’d spoken with Julie by phone, and she was so knowledgeable about the hotel and gave us lots of helpful information. We’ll definitely come back to stay at this historic place.

We stay here whenever we’re in town. It has that Old Florida feel, and the spot is handy for Ocala National Forest and several natural springs, right on the St John's River.

We return every year, mostly because the location is hard to beat and we can keep our boat docked just outside the room. The place isn’t fancy, but we love it. The staff are terrific, especially Julie. She works hard, is always ready to help, and never seems to be without a smile. Five stars!
