Atomic Motel

I booked a room for May 20-21 through Capital One Travel and got a confirmation with instructions saying check-in wasn't allowed after midnight. Atomic Motel also sent a confirmation saying the booking was non-refundable. I never received any other message explaining that the office closed at 8 p.m. I reached the hotel at 11:20 p.m. and tried the after-hours number for 20 minutes, but no one answered. My travel agency couldn't help at that hour, so I had to book a last-minute room at the nearby motel 6. I appreciate motel 6 giving me a comfortable room. When I asked my agency for a refund, they said the hotel was refusing it. I don't think the check-in information was communicated properly, and the hotel's instructions about the check-in time were also incorrect.

We had our lab with us, and the staff gave her a basket of goodies. Everyone was super friendly, and check-in and checkout were easy. I'd definitely stay again. The bathroom is why I gave the room four stars: the shower looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in a while, there were rings in the tub, and the walls had streaky yellow marks, like shower cleaner had been sprayed and left to run down. We also couldn't shut the bathroom door without it sticking closed.

A classic drive-up-to-your-room place with basic amenities. It was clean and functional, and the bed was very comfy. The room stayed very quiet despite the road traffic, though we used a sound machine just in case.

A great deal for the city. The rooms are simple and clean, with fun Atomic age decor. After a long drive, they're very welcoming, and the value is hard to beat.
