Ingleside Motel

Good rates, nice employees, and clean rooms. The lights just don’t work a lot of the time ://

The room was dirty, and both the manager and staff were rude. This sure doesn’t feel like the “FRIENDLY CITY” they claim it is. I’m relocating, but not to THIS town. Keep looking.

We were in town to bury our two-month-old baby, and my husband, who’s from Athens, thought this hotel might be decent after our first hotel doubled its rate. We paid 95 dollars, but only made it inside the room before deciding to leave. It was absolutely filthy, there was a bullet hole in the door, and the lights wouldn’t turn on. People from the next room came out loud and trashy, and it looked like some kind of prostitution situation. My husband asked for a refund right away, but they refused. The owner actually smirked. We left and will report them to the BBB and anywhere else we can. Days Inn was beautiful and clean.

For just one night, I think this place is pretty great for the price. The bed is cozy, the room is small, and the shower is huge. There’s a fantastic Italian restaurant next door, plus the best ice cream I’ve ever had just five minutes away. For a longer visit, I’d look elsewhere. The shower only stayed hot for five minutes, the toilet is tiny and overlaps the towel rack, and most of the weather stripping was gone from the door, letting in lots of noise and light.
