AC Hotel by Marriott Atlanta Midtown

Shamiya stayed on the phone with me until an issue with the parking garage was sorted out. The garage isn’t affiliated with the AC, but she went above and beyond to help. Everyone we met was kind and helpful, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Check-in was easy, the location was great, and I’d definitely return. This hotel is a vibe, next door to the four seasons hotel.

A month later, I still haven’t received the refund I was told I’d get. I booked this as a stop on a road trip, then mentioned at check-in that I had a dog and was told there was a pet fee. I was taken aback and asked to cancel. The front desk woman assured me several times I wouldn’t be charged, even though my card was already on file. I asked for paperwork confirming that, but she kept saying I wouldn’t be charged. The next day, I saw a charge for a full night’s stay. When I called back to see if it could be fixed, I got a lot of attitude and pushback. They reluctantly agreed to refund me, but told me not to expect that in the future. AC hotels, please do better.

Deangelo and Shay made our anniversary special, especially DeAngelo. He told my fiancé and me about food spots, explained how parking works, and even shared ways to save money on a future trip to Atlanta. Ms. Shay checked on us each morning and made sure parking in the deck was working for us. I’ll recommend this hotel and come back.

I stayed three nights, then got billed for a fourth night of parking after I left. Repeated calls got me transferred from one person to another, and nobody could fix it. I sent messages to two different email addresses they gave me, with repeated follow-ups, but got no reply. A call asking for the General Manager went to voicemail, and my voicemail wasn’t answered either. Marriott customer service didn’t respond when I tried them, too. The customer service is lousy, so I’d stay away. There are plenty of very similar places in the neighborhood.
