Holiday Inn Express and Suites Atlanta Buckhead

This is my home away from home, and the place I keep coming back to when I need a getaway. I love the room amenities, free washer and dryer, business area, and complimentary breakfast, but the staff are my favorite part. Everyone is so sweet and friendly. Big thanks to Ms.Tee at the front desk, who went wayyy above and beyond to help with my stay. I appreciated her so much. If I could give her the galaxy, I would. Highly recommend.

The rooms themselves have been decent compared with other hotels I’ve tried, but several things on my recent stays need attention. I’m in Atlanta for work every week and have stayed here multiple times. Some front desk employees come across as though guests are an inconvenience, and one in particular has been unkind. I’ve brushed it off before, but it should be addressed. The entry card system and exit sensors are a hassle too. People often need desk staff to get out, sometimes after several tries. You’re also expected to know there’s a particular way to use your room key to enter the fitness center. I use an exercise bike wherever I stay, and this one used to be good, but now it clunks and feels close to giving out. That may seem minor if you don’t work out daily, but it matters to me. On my last visit, the water tasted absolutely awful as well. I don’t often leave reviews, but I felt this was worth raising. If these issues are fixed, I’d consider staying again.

The room was just right, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Getting in and out takes a little figuring out, but it’s manageable. It’s also a good option if you want to stay somewhere a bit out of the way. I’ll come back.

We arrived worn out after an overnight flight from Los Angeles and landed around 6:00 a.m. We stopped at the desk to ask about checking in early, though we weren’t expecting much since it was well before the usual time. The Operations Manager, Ms. Tee Carter, greeted us warmly, explained it was still too early, and offered us breakfast while we waited. She said she’d help us check in as soon as a room opened up after another guest checked out. It was cold and bleak outside, with wind blowing and leaves all over the ground, but her kindness and the hot breakfast made us feel looked after. That tiring morning became a warm, memorable experience because of her. I hope others choose to stay here and experience the goodwill and compassion they share.
