Chelsea Pub & Inn

There’s nothing negative I can say about this eclectic boutique hotel and bar across the street from the Tropicana. I’ve probably stayed in every room over the past 20 years, and each has its own theme and feel. It isn’t ridiculously expensive either.

Taz was an awesome bartender, and the food we had for lunch was great. There were lots of friendly, fun people around. Such a fun time at the bar, definitely a good place to hang out, eat, or grab a drink.

We came back to The Chelsea for The Who and it’s an easy walk to Boardwalk Hall. Lola is such a sweetheart. Will was working the bar and kindly walked us outside to the Inn steps, keeping an eye out for us since we’re a little older. Breakfast was adequate, though I still miss the European touches the previous owner had. We’ve stayed before and love the character here. The Chelsea is our Atlantic City go-to!

The bar attached to the inn had good pours at reasonable prices, and we stopped in for food and drinks before our event. Our room, 211, had so much charm and elegance, just like we remembered. We came back to the Chelsea after two years for an overnight birthday celebration, and the breakfast was still tasty: bacon, mini quiche, eggs, waffles, and more. The day before we arrived, I called to arrange champagne for our room. Lola handled my last-minute request and even added balloons, a card, and candy. The staff are unbelievably sweet. My wife and I had the coziest bed and breakfast stay. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Chelsea when you’re in AC.
