Days Inn by Wyndham Atlantic City Oceanfront-Boardwalk

The location right on the Boardwalk was definitely a plus, and the staff were kind overall. The elevators worked fine. Rooms were spacious and had nice balconies, though the balconies having no privacy felt strange. The TVs were much too small for rooms that size. Parking wasn’t great, especially on the upper level if you have a bigger vehicle. The building looked run down, unfortunately, though some work was underway, so hopefully it’ll look much better soon. Overall, it’s an affordable stay, but the rooms could have been cleaner.

We were jolted awake by loud banging and I honestly thought something might come through the ceiling. The hotel was being renovated, but nobody told us when we booked. The room itself was grimy, with dust, a dirty carpet, and a fridge sitting right on it. There was barely any room in the bathroom, no closet, and just a makeshift bar with two hangers. The TV was tiny, and the garage looked like it was coming apart, yet parking cost $30. Then they left a handwritten envelope asking for a tip. My husband and I just want our money back. They should've shut the place while all that work was going on.

The check-in area was so poorly marked that it was hard to figure out where to go, and the clerk was difficult to understand. Outside, there was so much construction that I wondered if they were tearing the place down. Inside, everything felt ancient, including the wood-and-mirror elevators. The room was really dated and only sort of clean, with a tiny TV and a toilet small enough for a daycare. The towels were clean but worn and grayish. No breakfast, no coffee.

The staff were really kind, and I don't blame them personally, but the place just wasn't being cleaned properly. The room had stained bedding, filthy rugs, and flies, and the musty smell mixed with a urine odor was everywhere. We asked to have the toilet unclogged and waited hours. The terrace was probably the worst part, all we got out there was weed smell and that awful general New Jersey smell. They also had no bathroom ramp, which felt dangerous for my elderly and disabled family members. I wouldn't recommend staying here or go back myself.
