Days Inn by Wyndham Auburn

The hotel is small but well organized, and my room was clean and odor free. The bathroom, bathtub, mattress cover, and pillows were clean too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The receptionist working late on July 28 and into the early morning of July 29 was especially good. She helped me, a trucker, find a safe place to park and checked me in quickly and professionally. I hope the owner or management gives her a raise or promotion for her hard work. ☺

The price felt far too high for the condition of the room, and we won’t stay again if we can avoid it. There was a stain on the floor and dirt behind a nightstand, though the room was otherwise relatively clean. A spider in the tub wasn’t something they could help, but the toilet was leaking onto the floor. We put a towel down and didn’t request another room since it didn’t seem to be getting worse and we were only there for one night. Breakfast was supposed to end at 9:30, yet when we arrived at 9:02 a worker was nearly done clearing everything away. My younger siblings were with me, and the worker wasn’t friendly or nice about it. We went next door to McDonald's instead.

It’s easy to get to, right off of 69, and close to good restaurants and stores. The staff were very nice and accommodating, and the hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. They served a big complimentary breakfast each morning. I’ll stay there again.

The rooms looked dated, but they were very clean, and we slept like babies on the extremely comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. There was even a recliner where I could put my feet up after a long drive. The cable TV had more channels than the other hotels we stayed at on the trip. We stopped in Auburn, Indiana for the night on our way home to Michigan. Check in was quick and easy, and the front desk gal laughed at our jokes and made us feel welcome. It’s in a nice area where we felt safe, and McDonald's is an easy walk next door. I’d recommend it!
