La Quinta Inn Auburn Worcester

The staff did their best to make things usable and were understanding, but I left after one sleepless night and booked somewhere else. The renovation was underway, and the appearance wasn't what I expected. The building is dated, and the walls are so thin that I could hear full conversations and the TV next door.

The staff were amazing, especially at breakfast. The continental spread was one of the best I've had in a while, and they were attentive and sweet. Everyone was kind to our giant dog, too. The renovated room was very clean and attractive, and the bed was comfortable. Construction was distracting, though rarely disruptive, with some noise in the room. We had a couple of things we wished could be fixed: the room stayed too warm for comfortable sleep even with the thermostat set to 61 degrees, which can't be accurate, and the fridge made a steady musical tone much of the time. It was a delightful visit for the price, much better than the options in Sturbridge. Thank you!

I look for a fair price, friendly staff, and a good place to eat when I stay at a hotel. The free breakfast here was very good, and they make waffles to order. That might seem like a small thing, but it makes breakfast feel like more than a little room with cereal and milk. They also have a wide selection of things to get after hours if you don't want to go out. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was blocked by a trash can and construction paper, and once we opened the door, there was so much dust from the nearby lobby work that the air looked hazy. My son could barely breathe all night. The lobby itself was under construction, with power tools plugged in and within reach of my children, and no safety precautions in place. The toilet wasn't bolted down properly, and the cheap shelves being used instead of closets and furniture were wobbly and not secured to the walls. When we raised the air quality issue, the woman at the front desk said we could get a refund if we left at 9 p.m., but the manager was already asleep. She also yelled at me for not answering my home phone while I was staying there. Worst service ever.
